Communal car park upgrade

The challenge

The floor had lifted in several places because of rising damp, and the fluorescent lighting left dark stretches between fittings. The residents wanted to use the works to reorganise the bays and gain a few more.

The solution

Resin was injected to cut off the rising damp and a seamless epoxy resin floor was laid, with bays and pedestrian routes marked out. Lighting was replaced with sealed LED fittings with presence detection, which cut consumption. The new layout gained one car space and an area for motorcycles.
